These grinders have a ceramic coating which helps prevent sticking and keeps the grind action smooth. The coating is much less prone to resin build up then traditional metal grinders, so they require a lot less cleaning.
The grinder has a steel alloy core, which is then coated in ceramic. It has 4 separate layers with a trichome collection screen and tool. The large 63mm size allows for chopping of larger mixes.
