Vape Buyers Guide

A vaporizer, also known as a vape, is a device that is used to heat and vaporize various substances, such as dry herbs, oils, and concentrates. Vaporization is the process of heating a substance to its boiling point, which releases active ingredients in the form of vapor, rather than smoke.

Vaporizers come in many different designs and styles, including handheld, desktop, and portable vaporizers. Handheld vaporizers are small and portable, making them easy to take with you on the go. Desktop vaporizers are larger and designed for home use. They typically have more advanced features and a higher quality of vapor production.

Vaporizers work by heating the substance to a specific temperature, which releases the active ingredients in the form of vapor. This vapor is then inhaled through a mouthpiece. Vaporization is considered to be a healthier alternative to smoking, as it eliminates the harmful by-products of combustion and reduces the risk of respiratory issues.

Vaporizer Buyers Guide- Convection vs Conduction, which is better and why?

All vapes use the same basic method to produce vapour, gentle application of warm air to activate the organic compounds without reaching a temp high enough for combustion to occur.

However there are two slighty dfferent ways that different vapes use to produce vapour. The conduction method will have the herb in direct contact with a hot element, but the convection method will have hot air slowly moving over the herb chamber.  Conduction method is like cooking on a fry pan, where as the convection method is like cooking in a fan forced oven.

Now , which is better? Well, thats depends..

Conduction Vaporizer

Pros:

Fast heat up times and produces vapour almost instantly.

Cons:

Requires stirring or mixing of the herb during operation

Hits can be harsh

Uneven heating

Convection Vaporizer

Pros:

Even heating

More efficent

No need to shake or stir

Cons:

Slower to heat up

Usually larger sized units

Slow to produce vapour

At the end of the day, it will depend on the particular user to decide which vape is best for them.
